When thinking about how to create the digital equivalent of a transparent sheet of printed-rippled mylar, I thought initially of photographing the work, as installed on site. But then I realized that an image made up of strictly blank pixels might do the trick just as well. In this instance, you’re invited to reflect on the medium itself: the surface of the monitor, the dust marks, the fingerprints, the non-nothingness of what we instinctively think of as nothing. Is a blank screen really blank? Did you find the experience of white to be (w)restful?
