In every hanging there is an implicit up-and-down. On such a view there isn’t much of a difference between a lynch noose and a begonia planter. Of course neither of these will classify easily as “wonders of the (ancient or contemporary) world”. But what I did have access to, if not Babylon, was the Summer-of-2012 beard mosses that suspend oh-so-gracefully from the lofty arboreal precipices of Vancouver Island. These may be as close as my toner-reduction process can come to embracing intergenerational growth.
